Aarhus startup becomes a spearhead in the Nordic market as a result of new partnership

Summary in Short:

Dutch company Channable has acquired Danish WakeupData to become the Nordic leader in product feed management. WakeupData has developed tools to help brands promote products on various online platforms over the past 10 years. The acquisition will allow Channable to expand its digital marketing platform and open its first physical location in Denmark. WakeupData, founded by Web2Media in Aarhus, Denmark, has become a preferred partner for marketing agencies in the Nordics. The companies share the same vision and values, making the acquisition process feel natural. With Channable’s resources, WakeupData is looking forward to developing and helping more customers in the Nordic market.

The acquisition of Danish WakeupData by Dutch Channable has solidified their position as a Nordic leader in product feed management.

With ten years of experience, WakeupData has developed a variety of tools that simplify the process of promoting products on various online platforms such as marketplaces, search engines, and social media.

Welcoming their first physical location in Denmark’s Aarhus, these tools complement Channable’s digital marketing platform seamlessly.

As the current Nordic leader in product feed management, WakeupData’s acquisition by Channable was a strategic move:

“We are excited to incorporate WakeupData’s tools and expertise into our existing solutions. Despite being competitors for some time, our shared vision and values made the acquisition a natural progression,” said Rob van Neuen, CEO of Channable.

Transitioning from Growth to Dominance in the Nordic Market

A decade ago, the concept of product feed management was relatively unknown, but it gained importance as e-commerce platforms like Google started to dominate the market. This led to the creation of WakeupData by collaboration between Web2Media, a marketing agency in Aarhus, and developer Dennis Cassøe.

Today, WakeupData is a preferred partner for marketing agencies in the Nordics, servicing a significant portion of major Nordic customers in product feed management.

“With Channable’s robust platform and extensive resources, we have a strong foundation to further develop and support our customers. The merger is expected to be seamless as Channable shares our agile approach to business,” stated Steffen L. Jørgensen, CEO and partner at WakeupData.
